This is one of Hedonist Six sweeter reads. I really enjoyed the falling in love at first sight story (that is the story of my life) and how Mandi, (Mandeep Grewal) being from an Indian culture dating a white man was totally out of the question from her parents.I love how TV Chef Callum Byrne (the guy who fell in love with her) works his magic.
I really can't say a lot about the book without giving the story line away so all I can say is this is a good book. If you have bought part of the book before like I did update your book so you will now have the entire book.

Only a Taste is a lovely romance novella by Hedonist Six and is the third book in the Chance Encounters series. It can be read as a standalone. I have not read anything by this author before so I am always excited to read stories from somebody knew to me and I wasn’t disappointed. This story was different for me as it was based around how family traditions can impact on your relationships and I’ve never read a book before with this storyline. I felt it did have a true life feeling about it which I enjoyed.
The story is about Mandi (Mandeep) who comes from a very traditional and conservative Punjabi family and is forced to move back in with her parents. On her last night before she moves back home Mandi meets TV chef Callum Byrne, there are undeniable sparks and they both like each other but she soon realises nothing more can happen between them especially when she finds out her parents are more than eager to arrange a suitable husband for her.
I liked the characters, I really felt for Mandi, she desperately wanted to be with Callum but also had a lot of respect for her parents and didn’t want to upset them.
I loved how Callum fought for Mandi and tried to prove that he could be everything she would want in a partner and showed a lot of respect for her parent’s traditional values.
A great novella and I definitely recommend it!
"Only a Taste", was a well written, engrossing quick read that was difficult to put down.
Mandeep (Mandi) Grewel , has been away at school and sharing an apartment , but months after graduation and still unable to get employment her last night of freedom is upon her. Tomorrow Mandi will have to return home to her overbearing and controlling parents. However tonight will be her last hurrah. Her best friend and roommate Alice has talked her into a day trip to Brighton , the beach and the nightlife; which leads to Mandi meeting Callum Byrne, the two have an instant attraction to one another, so much so that Callum asks her to dinner for the evening not his normal approach, nor is accepting a dinner date from a total stranger Mandi style, but lord knows when the next time she will get a chance to do anything other than her father's bidding. The lovely dinner date turns into an incredible night of passion, one that neither one can forget, but Mandi has to try; her parents would never accept Callum, an outsider to their Indian culture.
Home less than a week and miserable wanting to see Callum; mandi's parents are already trying to arrange a marriage to A suitable Indian boy and his family, only making her more miserable.
Mandi is not the only one suffering, Callum is also , he misses Mandi desperately, enough that he plots trying to get her parents to accept him.
Can Mandi and Callum Overcome her parents one sighted and single minded beliefs? Will Mandi be forced to marry a man of her father's choosing? Jump in to this wonderfull red and find out!

After successfully completing her university degree, Mandi is still unable to secure a job in her degree field. So Mandi and her best friend Alice decide to go to Brighton beach one last time. As a farewell party before Mandi has to move home in the morning to her conservative family ways. Which means she'll lose the freedom she's had since starting university and moving in with Alice. No more staying out late at night clubs until her feet cannot hold her upright, in all honesty it means no more night clubs or hanging out with any guys period. She'll be forced back into their family culture with her father picking her future husband.
Famous TV chef extraordinaire Callum Bryne is in Brighton beach to look for a location for his next restaurant. After calling it quits for the day he stops at an ice cream truck stand to get a rum and raisin Gelato. He and another girl order the same flavor at the same time, unfortunately the truck only has one scoop left. He's struck tongue tied by her exotic beauty which is unlike him, he's used to getting his way with everything, even women. He decides to let her have it and orders another flavor for himself. He then asks her out to dinner, and it's refreshing to know she doesn't recognize him. Games won't work on her, with her he has to take off the mask and let her see the real Callum Byrne they'd never air on TV.
Mandi is upfront and honest with Callum telling him this could only be a one night thing. But something changes for both of them, and as much as it pains her she knows her parents will not allow her to see him. While reading you'll see what these two have to go through to figure out how to get what they truly want. But can it actually happen?? To see what happens between Mandi and Callum you'll have to read ONLY A TASTE! This was a refreshing multicultural novella that was an enjoyable read. I couldn't wait to turn the page to see what happened next.

Only a Taste is a wonderful falling in love at first sight story. It is modern and very sexy. I have enjoyed Hedonist Six's work and this sweet tale doesn't disappoint. Her writing style is natural and flows easily. Romance still wins me over and I smiled as I read this tale.
