I'm still dumbfounded as to why Graham Hurley isn't better known. The writing, the plots, characters are all top-notch. I thought it couldn't get better than "No Lovelier Death" but this one topped it. Please, try the Hurley books - you won't regret it.Product details

I really like DI Joe Faraday and I think that Graham Hurley gets better with each book - he's on my permanent list.
I have thoroughly enjoyed every one of Graham Hurley's books that I have read and this was no exception. I enjoy the police procedural books and the depictions of the good cop v. the not so good are very well done.
Graham Hurley never disappoints, his characters have real depth and the interaction between them totally believable
Sick of crime series about London, Manc, Glasgow, or Midsommer ? Then the Faraday series are for you. There are 3 characters, Faraday (do-gooder, honest cop), Winter (cop who sails close to the wind) and the city of Portsmouth. After reading these books you wonder why Rankin and Robinson are better known than Hurley.
